Privacy policy

In four lines: this website is static and sets no analytics cookie unless you accept the banner. The contact form sends nothing to us — it opens WhatsApp with your message written out, and nothing leaves your phone until you send it. What we hold is what you give us directly, including your measurements, and it is used to make your garments and nothing else. You can ask to see it, correct it or have it deleted, and the route to do that is at the bottom of this page.

This website is operated by The Outfit Custom Tailor, 334, 42 Bang Tao Beach, Choeng Thale, Phuket 83110, Thailand — the tailor in Bangtao. The commercial side of an order, rather than the data side, is covered in our terms of service.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us — name, phone number, email address, and where you are staying if a fitting is coming to you.
• Your measurements, taken at a fitting, along with notes on fit and posture.
• Order notes — cloth chosen, details agreed, dates, and what was said at each fitting.
• Messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone or email, as they arrive.
• Photographs of finished garments, only where you have agreed to them being taken and used.
• Anonymous usage statistics from this website, and only if you accept the cookie banner.

What we do not collect: there is no account, no login and no password anywhere on this site. We run no advertising or ad-tracking scripts. The contact form has no backend, so nothing typed into it reaches us unless you choose to send it through WhatsApp.

Your measurements

A tailor holds a description of your body, and that deserves saying out loud rather than filing under "customer data". Around twenty measurements, plus notes on posture, shoulder slope and anything asymmetric — which is to say, a more detailed physical record than most businesses ever hold about you.

It is treated as what it is. It is not shown to anyone outside the workshop, it is never used for anything except making and altering your garments, and it is not sold, rented or shared for marketing under any circumstances. If you would rather it were not kept at all once your order is finished, say so and it will be removed.

Why we hold it

Two reasons, and there is no third. The first is to make what you ordered: measurements, cloth choices and fitting notes are the working record of a garment, and without them the garment cannot be made or corrected.

The second is so that you can order again without being measured again. Your pattern stays on file, which is what allows a second garment to be ordered from home and shipped to you rather than requiring another trip. That is a service rather than a filing habit, and it only works if the record is kept.

How long we keep it

Contact details, measurements and order notes are kept for as long as we need them to make your garments, handle later alterations, and keep ordinary business records. In practice the pattern is kept so that a repeat order remains possible, which is the whole point of holding it.

We do not publish a fixed retention period, and rather than state one here that has not been decided, the honest position is this: ask us to delete what we hold and we will, whenever you ask. The route is below.

Who else sees it

Inside the workshop, the people making your garment. Outside it, nobody — your measurements and order notes are not passed to any third party, and there is no marketing list they could be added to.

The honest exceptions are the ordinary infrastructure of a website and a phone. Messages you send by WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp under their privacy policy, and we receive them as ordinary messages. Where you follow a link to our profile on Google, Facebook or Instagram, that platform's own policy applies from the moment you arrive.

How to see or delete it

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@theoutfitcustomtailor.com or call 081 444 6362 and we will respond. You do not need to give a reason and it will not affect anything you have ordered.

Cookies and this website

The pages are static. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used, and it is off by default — Google Consent Mode with analytics_storage denied, so no analytics cookie is set and no analytics data is collected until you choose Accept in the banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner entirely, nothing analytics-related runs. To withdraw consent later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner returns.

The contact and location pages embed a Google Map, and Google may set cookies and receive data when that map loads, under Google's privacy policy. If you would rather not load it, the plain Google Maps link does the same job. Our fonts are served from this site rather than from a third party, so they share nothing.

This page and the date above will be updated before any booking system, form backend or other data-collecting tool goes live.
