Made from scratch
Five things are cut here from nothing, each drafted to your own measurements.

Cut on the premises from around twenty measurements. Cloth, construction, lapel, lining and cuffs are your decisions rather than house defaults, and half-canvas is the standard build.

Altered or remade
One service, and it covers anything you already own, whoever made it.

Hems, waists, sleeves, jacket bodies, dresses, resizing and repairs, on anything from anywhere. A garment alters on a seam and only by the cloth folded inside it, which is why a shoulder cannot be moved and a waist can. Most work is finished within the same week.

Common questions
Can I get clothes made in Thailand?
Yes, and it is one of the things the country does best at the price. Suits, wedding wear, shirts, dresses, casual pieces and copies of a garment you already own are all routine work. What decides whether it goes well is your calendar rather than the shop’s capability: a garment needs measuring, at least one fitting and working time between them, so the number of days you have is the constraint that actually binds.
Is Phuket good for clothes shopping?
For having things made, yes, particularly with several days and a clear idea of what you want. For buying finished clothes off a rail it is unremarkable, and the international brands sit in the malls rather than the beach districts. The island’s advantage is that made-to-measure and alterations cost a fraction of the same work in Europe or North America, so it rewards planning rather than browsing.
Is it worth getting a tailored suit in Thailand?
It is worth it if you plan around the fittings rather than around the shopping. Booking the first appointment in the first days of a trip rather than the last is the single change that most improves the result, because it leaves room for a correction to be made and checked. It also lets you choose cloth for the climate you are standing in rather than the one a rack was stocked for.
Are there any good tailors in Phuket?
Yes, and the difficulty is sorting rather than scarcity. The island carries workshops doing drafted patterns with three fittings alongside shops assembling fused garments in two days, and the shopfronts look much alike. The checks that separate them are all runnable before you pay anything: a fixed address, published prices, a straight answer about construction, and reviews you can open and read.
What are the three types of suits?
Off-the-rack, made-to-measure and bespoke, and the dividing line is where the pattern comes from. Off-the-rack is a finished garment in a standard size. Made-to-measure adjusts an existing pattern to your measurements. Bespoke drafts a pattern for you from nothing. Construction — fused, half-canvas or full canvas — is a separate decision that cuts across all three, and worth asking about independently.
