Are there any good tailors in Phuket?
Yes, and the difficulty is sorting rather than scarcity. The island carries workshops doing drafted patterns with three fittings alongside shops assembling fused garments in two days, and the shopfronts look much alike from the street. Reviews help only if you can open them: a rating painted on a sign is not evidence, and a profile you can read, with names and dates and the shop’s replies to the poor ones, is.
How much should I pay for a tailored suit in Thailand?
Enough that the workshop can afford to build it properly, which in practice means being more suspicious of the very bottom of the range than of the top. A figure far below the published local range usually covers fused construction in house cloth with a single fitting. That is a legitimate product honestly priced, but it is not the same object as the quote you are comparing it against.
Is it worth getting a tailored suit in Thailand?
It is worth it if you plan around the fittings rather than around the shopping. A garment cut for you needs measuring, a fitting and working time between them, so how many days you have decides more than any shop’s speed. Several of the reviews on this page mention exactly that — the ones praising turnaround are from people who started early enough for it to be possible.
Are tailored suits cheap in Thailand?
Cheaper than the equivalent work in Europe or North America, and not cheap in absolute terms. What separates the ends of the local range is construction, cloth and how many fittings you get, so two quotes are only comparable once you know those three things.
Reviews tell you how a shop treats people. They do not tell you whether the work is good, and the checks that do are in how to tell a good tailor — which we would rather you ran on us than skipped.
